Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd there is nothing I shall want.
Fresh and green are the pastures where he gives me repose
Near restful waters he leads me, to revive my drooping spirit
He guides me along the right path. He is true to his name
If I should walk in the valley of darkness, no evil would I fear.
You are there with your crook and your staff;
With these you give comfort.
You have prepared a banquet for me in the sight of my foes;
My Head you have anointed with oil; my cup is overflowing.
Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life.
In the Lord's own house shall I dwell forever and ever.

Le Seigneur est mon berger, je ne manquerai de rien.
Il me fait reposer dans de verts pâturages,
il me dirige près des eaux paisibles,
il restaure mon âme, Il me conduit dans les sentiers de la justice,
A cause de son nom. Quand je marche dans la vallée de l'ombre de la mort,
Je ne crains aucun mal, car tu es avec moi:
Ta houlette et ton bâton me rassurent.
Tu dresses devant moi une table en face de mes adversaires;
Tu oins d'huile ma tête, et ma coupe déborde.
Oui, le bonheur et la grâce m'accompagneront tous les jours de ma vie,
Et j'habiterai dans la maison du Seigneur jusqu'à la fin de mes jours.
