燃えろ篝火 朝里の浜に
海は銀色 にしんの色よ
ソ-ラン節に 頬そめながら
わたしゃ大漁の 網を曳く
あれからニシンは どこへ行ったやら
オタモイ岬の ニシン御殿も
今じゃさびれて オンボロロ

The seagulls are calling, so the herring are coming
The red-sleeved fishermen are bustling about
In the corner of the snow-covered shack

I cook rice all night long
Where have the herring gone since then?
Are the torn nets for catching gudgeons?
Now they're just junk on the beach

The Kasatomaru passes by offshore
I watch the herring-clouded sky with tears in my eyes

Burn, bonfire, on Asari beach
The sea is silver, the color of herring
My cheeks flushed with excitement as I dance the Soran Bushi
I pull in the nets, laden with fish
Where have the herring gone since then?
The herring palace at Cape Otamoi
Is now a desolate ruin
