Grits - Gutter Boy Lyrics

Lyrics Gutter Boy - Grits

Yeah,
We all look for money, power, fame, power,
Let me talk to you, well on.
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know you need to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground,
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know it's best to come 'round,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground.
Gutter boy, you know you're expensive and tough,
Gutter boy, you mix up with the wrong stuff,
You might end up in the castle while your bridges on my life it's on my body, but are the one will bite dust,
Gutter boy... watch out now.
Money and the power, and the fame and the sweat,
End up down the mortuary, they're shouting out your chest,
Shoot out in the town, like it's a wild, wild west... but me bible is me bulletproof vest - yes,
Quits in all them man, just to send me upon a quest,
Bring the reggae music, feed by notes, salute D Ness,
In-a this your life, it come like you feel protest,
Pick up your shield of righteousness - yes.
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know you need to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground,
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know it's best to come 'round,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground.
Yo,
Predestined, manifesting,
Learned through life's lessons, impressing,
Despite my many indiscretions, I still be blessed by his essence,
I'm gonna be here 'til it's over,
Stuck in the place 'cause I fit,
I beat the past so long, ain't bucking the place 'cause it's it,
I got the troops with the flame, and it's aimed at the youth,
It's all the same, why we came: to gather fame in the booth,
A different plane was the same; my reign is the proof,
What's to be gained? Total things show lanyard loop,
I thought them castles form a church said, "Huh,"
We ain't ashamed; our faith is who we are,
Put up the bar which was worth getting,
Vision as yet to be fulfilled and facilitated,
Wishing I was open to the real and the things related,
That will reveal all the blood that would be spilled while I tally up the tolls of all the depth that I feel,
See, expected moving up the block,
Suspect that even though I rock you still got enough,
Protected from the shock.
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know you need to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground,
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know it's best to come 'round,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground.
My life story, yo, (feel me)
I was an only child trapped between a separation,
My parent's altercation grew into incarceration,
My father's good intentions soon became my mental breaking, but I was too young to understand the complication,
And, through the pain, my mother pushed for higher education to numb the situation through the heart determination,
And, at the time, neither took the chance to give and explanation, so I drew my own conclusion for the circumstance,
I didn't understand a man's ways, apart from God, was the curse of bad decisions made apart from God,
And the punishment was living with the repercussions of a path left, only meant for my destruction,
I was a church boy, trying to be a gutter boy,
Run around with ghetto boys, playing with the metal toys,
Out to get a repertoire, trying to get that butter, boy,
The life I would have settled for, but God had something better, boy, waiting for the Carter boy.
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know you need to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground,
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know it's best to come 'round,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground,
Yo,
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know you need to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground,
Gutter boy, you know, you know,
You know it's best to come 'round,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that you some as the ground.
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that used to fear it town,
Gutter boy, you know you look at trouble, but you're living in a bubble,
Take off your book, and dis some Asguard ground,
Gutter boy, you know that you have to come down,
Gutter boy, you know that used to fear it town,
Gutter boy, you know you look at trouble, but you're living in a bubble,
Take off your book, and dis some Asguard ground, yo.
