"Lessons" is a song that Johanna Hall
Jonell Mosser and I wrote together
And was on a record of mine that came out only in Japan
And other than that has not been released around the world
And so we're including it on this record

You know, I have a friend who says, "Experience
Is something you get right after you needed it"
And "Lessons," uh, you know the song goes

"I needed to learn patience, I wound up in a traffic jam"
And it goes on from there

It just seems like you, uh
There are a lot of learning experiences in life and
And some of them involve the blues
So here's a blues song called "Lessons"
