I still went to church the next morning but I was zoned out
Couldn't hear nothing that was going on (I was)
Too focused on the fact that I slipped the night before

Afterwards I was approached by this older lady
With Salt and pepper colored hair ...she's a Seasoned saint (she)
Said she could see I was struggling... it was written on my face.
Then she invited me, "Come daughter... let's go grab a bite to eat."
I let her read the dirty details in my journal, she didn't blink
I'm mean, She didn't judge me, in fact she could relate
She said baby what you're feeling is really a good thing
Just don't stay there, you gotta keep moving,
You don't wanna miss what G-d is doing
What you feel in your heart, is conviction
And though it stings, it's a gift that He's given
