1   It Was Not
2   The Natural Thing
3   But the Unnatural
4   And My Recent Expereince
5   Parallels
6   The Wave of Despair
7   That Swept the Nation.
8   I Shall Manage
9   To Live With
10   The New Dispensation,
11   Though It Has Taken
12   Some Months
13   To Be Certain of the Fact.
14   And Just As The
15   Laughing Stoicisim
16   Which Has Enabled
17   The American to Endure
18   The Intolerable Conditions
19   Of His Existence
20   Has Cast Him His Sense
21   Of the Truth-
22   So in My Case
23   There Is a Price to Pay.
24   I Do Not Any Longer
25   Like the Postman,
26   Nor the Grocer,
27   And He in Turn
28   Will Come to Dislike Me,
29   So That Life Will Never Be
30   Very Pleasant Again.
31   I Will Try to Be
32   A Correct Animal Though,
33   And If You Throw Me
34   A Bone With Enough Meat
35   I May Even Lick Your Hand.
