Lyrics Undone, Undress (Commentary) - Marika Hackman

So, "Undone, Undress", which is track number 10, um, is probably the most bleak track on the album
Um, it was written at the start of the,uh, quite a low point, and I kinda just poured it all out
Um, but it actually took quite a while to finish
Um, I had the guitar part but it was the lyrics that I really wanted to kind of stick out
And with that in mind, I wanted to treat it in the studio more like the cover of "I Follow Rivers" that I did and make it really just all about that vocal delivery, um
And we used, um, vocal samples, for the first time, as a background, that we pitch-shifted and things, and reversed
Which was exciting, I like playing around with things like that
And I think it gives it a very spooky, dark edge
