chxrles - Sickly and Secluded Lyrics

Lyrics Sickly and Secluded - chxrles

Streetlights flicker from the decades gone
I ponder my own until my own would be an insignificant occurrence
I walk from there alone
Unknown to what extent permitted by those who couldn't care less
As of where and when I would or would not tred
Some say life can be pointless as usual
Sending a message to the world that reads
"I won't protect you; not now, not ever"
Shielded by ignorance, a bliss many can't afford
But they choose to ignore the facts and stay their own course of action
If you choose to accept this bliss as a burden
Then you will earn a certain state of mind
A cynical mind, sickly and secluded
Segregating thoughts between what is right and what is cold
And I am so cold
I am so cold
