paroles de chanson I Flew to Havana Last Wednesday - Ceil Cabot
I
flew
to
Havana
last
Wednesday
though
that's
not
what
I
had
in
mind
While
Aunt
Bertha
waited
in
Pittsburgh
I
got
in
a
bit
of
a
bind
The
gentleman
seated
beside
me
was
pleasant,
as
pleasant
could
be
Although
when
I
ventured,
"Good
morning,"
he
said,
"Buenos
días"
to
me.
He
smiled
as
he
loosened
his
seat
Belt
with
Trenton
below,
on
our
right
He
walked
up
the
aisle
toward
the
Cabin
until
he
was
clear
out
of
sight
And
then
such
a
funny
thing
happened:
the
Muzak
did
not
skip
a
beat
But,
right
in
the
middle
of
"Stardust,"
we
suddenly
got
"Cuban
Pete."
(Oh,
that's
pretty!)
My
friend
had
a
tall,
Handsome
partner
who
shortly
stood
up
in
the
back
I
think
all
the
passengers
knew
him,
They
all
started
yelling,
"Hi,
Jack!"
We
spent
three
whole
nights
in
Havana,
with
tourists,
it's
not
overrun
Well,
of
course,
The
whole
thing
was
outrageous,
but
somehow
it
was
fun.
I
only
had
what
I
was
wearing,
and
yet,
I
was
suitably
gowned
For
when
we
went
out
in
the
evening,
I
turned
it
around.
Now,
the
gentleman
seated
beside
me
with
passion
was
driven
insane
And
when
it
came
time
for
returning,
I
had
to
be
dragged
to
the
plane!
Now,
I'm
in
love
with
a
Cuban,
and
there
are
so
many
people
to
tell
Bertha,
the
whole
States
Department,
as
well
Oh,
I've
got
to
get
back
to
Havana,
there
must
be
an
easier
way
I'm
weary
of
flying
to
Pittsburgh,
three
or
four
times
every
day!
