FlipSide Poetry - March paroles de chanson

paroles de chanson March - FlipSide Poetry

A FlipSide Production
Listen
Can you hear that?
Can you hear the footsteps?
It's the March of my people
Coming to take back what is rightfully ours
And relinquish the scars of our ancestors
Usually my work comes with a money back guarantee
But it has become easy to see that you are not worthy
The country is crumbling from tunnels to bridges
But history won't repeat
We won't move again to the back seat
Or walk in the rear entrance
No more bowed heads and silent grace
No foolish indignities or rage misplaced
We know the enemy
They enslaved us
Guns and disease and religion were all weaponized
Racism and torture used to dehumanize
But our Angelous still rise
We still in here
Can your people do that?
Political figures changing the system
In fear they will find out
And we will
22 years and counting
When there are less of you than of us
What will you do?
And as an ideology, it's ten years or less
Good ole thinking
Is sinking like the quicksands of time
Harder to hold racist theories
When your grandchild doesn't look like you
Not impossible
But harder
So enjoy your last run cuz race-baiting is on life support
Build your fort
Your bunker for the hunker
Cuz we are trampling old ideas
And older idiots who won't do better
