Io credo, che non ci sia stato un altro periodo nella storia in cui gli uomini siano arrivati al nostro livello di cattiveria e di egoismo.
Un uomo oggi, non avendo remore di morale e di coscienza, tanto più gli conviene tanto più è carogna.
È carogna coi più deboli, è carogna coi più forti...
No, coi più forti è viscido.
È carogna con la moglie, coi figli, con gli amici, è carogna con il mondo intero.
Però la domenica, un'azalea.
Tutti che comprano un'azalea.
Un'azalea per questo per quest'altro per quest'altro ancora, dato che non funziona niente, si risolve tutto con le azalee.
E mi bussano alla porta, mi fermano per la strada, mi corrono dietro, col motorino, con la bicicletta e io stremato, che faccio?
Compro un'azalea, per salvare bambini, animali, piante, ricerche varie, bacini idrici, le suore del Nicaragua, le foreste dell'
Amazzonia.
Devo fare tutto io!
L'azalea, oltre a essere un arbusto ornamentale della famiglia delle ericacee, è diventata simbolo di purificazione.
E siccome più uno è sporco dentro, più ha bisogno di apparire buono, i più carogna hanno azalee dappertutto: in ingresso, in sala da pranzo, in camera da letto, vanno al cesso e, trac un'azalea.
Che raffinati!
Secondo me, a San Francesco non piacevano le azalee.
Gli piacevano i lupi.
Certo che anche avere la casa piena di lupi.
E Ghandi?
E Madre Teresa di Calcutta?
Ne han salvate di persone, eh!
Oddio se in India ci fosse stato un bravo statista anche un po' meno buono, forse ne avrebbe salvati di più.
Ma non c'è niente da fare, la bontà vera commuove, rassicura.
Quella finta, mi fa vomitare.
E se ci fosse un Dio io credo che la condannerebbe.
Ma basta con queste finzioni, queste ipocrisie, queste esibizioni fatte per abbellire l'anima, e anche l'immagine.
Ma dentro, dentro cosa siamo, eh?
Ve lo dico io cosa siamo: siamo delle caramelle di merda ricoperte di cioccolato.
A proposito, ho fatto un sogno.

The Azalea
