دریا که از رود جدا خواهی رفت
در پرده اسرار فنا خواهی رفت
می نوش ندانی از کجا آمده ای
خوش باش ندانی به کجا خواهی رفت
این کوضه چو من عاشقه زاری بود ه است
در بند سره ظلف نگاری بوده است
این دستی که بر گردن او می بینی
دستیست که بر گردن یاری بوده است
ای چرخ فلک خرابی از کینه توست
بیداد گری شیوه دیرینه توست
ای خاک اگر سینه تو بشکافند
از گوهر قیمتی که در سینه توست
آن قبر که جمشید در آن جای گرفت
آهو بچه کرد و ربه آرام گرفت
بهرام که گور کرفتی این همه عمر
دیدی که چگونه گور بهرام گرفته

Charkheh Falak

When you leave the river, the ocean awaits,
And behind the veils of mystery, you'll meet your fate.
You drink the wine, unaware of its source,
Be happy, for you know not where life's course.
This goblet, like me, has yearned for love's embrace,
In the prison of a beauty's hair, it found its grace.
The hand that encircles its neck, my love,
Once caressed the neck of another, from above.
O celestial sphere, your malice brings ruin,
Injustice has been your ancient ruin.
O earth, if your breast were to be rent,
What precious treasures lie within, heaven-sent.
The tomb that once held mighty Jamshid's frame,
Now shelters a fawn, finding solace in its calm.
Brave Bahram, who hunted all your life,
See how the grave has claimed you, ending your strife.
