It all started in this thrift store where I usually go digging
In these old record bins, stripped bare many times
By all the producers in my town
Nothing left but old Mike Brown and Philippe Lavigne's collector's items
As usual, nothing famous in what I chose
10 bucks for 1€, in short, only moldy vinyls
Come on, one more shitty one, I'm not gonna break the bank
Who knows? Maybe this one contains the rare gem
That sample I dream of, that ideal loop

I explore the groove of each side, analyze each snare
Study each bass and I wait for that thrill
That you get when you come across the right track
Even if the sound is badly worn and the album cracks
I want that warmth on 45 or 33 rpm
And I know that one day this sound will make me deaf
