When
we
first
started
planning
the
releases
for
this
50th
anniversary
series
I
said
that
I
was
going
to
wimp
out
or
not
include
"Indiscipline"
And
certainly
not
a
version
by
the
current
band
As
I
know,
it
remains
contentious
with
some
fans
But
surely,
that
makes
it
perfect
and
it's
a
wonderful
example
Of
the
guiding
principle
of
the
current
incarnation
The
music
is
new
whenever
it
was
written
In
fact,
"Indiscipline"
has
been
reinvented
to
such
an
extent
That
Robert
Fripp
has
said
that
there
are
now
two
classic
versions
The
original
- with
Bill
Bruford
on
drums
and
Adrian
Belews'
wonderfully
teasing
spoken
monologue
And
then
there
is
this
version
which
has
been
a
concert
highlight
ever
since
it
was
first
introduced
With
the
spectacular
drum
circulation
of
the
start
and
Jakko's
sung
verses
It
inspired
solution
to
the
fact
that
a
very
English
man
from
Watford
Should
not
try
mimicking
the
very
idiosyncratic
vocal
delivery
of
an
American
from
Kentucky
For
newer
fans,
this
will
of
course
be
their
original
version
The
only
one
they
know
And
in
the
same
way
that
older
fans
may
have
had
to
set
aside
their
expectations
to
appreciate
this
version
Newer
fans
would
have
to
do
exactly
the
same
if
hearing
older
recordings
Personally,
I
love
the
originality
of
them
both
So,
here
it
is
Indiscipline
