paroles de chanson Matte Kudasai (Alt Intro)- Commentary - King Crimson feat. David Singleton

Matte Kudasai with an alternative guitar introduction
Matte Kudasai, which means "his wait" in Japanese
Was first released in 1981 both as a single
And as one of the tracks on the album Discipline
Anyone who has bought the recent CD reissues
Or indeed, the early vinyl releases
Will know that there are two different versions
Of the official studio recording
What is now generally regarded as the official version
Has a guitar solo by Adrian Belew
While the version that appeared on the very first LP release
Has a guitar solo and other guitar lines by Robert Fripp
That one is generally credited as the alternative version
And as such, would have been perfect for this series of alternative takes
Although it would have been far too simple
And most people have already heard it
Because it's always added as an additional bonus track with the album
So what we have here is an entirely new third version
In one of his uploads to the DGM Live website
Alex "Stormy" Mundy went back to the multitracks of Matte Kudasai
And made a new dub version featuring just the original, a pedal guitar line
And Robert Fripp's sustained guitar parts
Much of it was rightly not used on any of the official releases
Where it was replaced by Adrian Belew's wonderful seagull sounds on slight guitar
But we've used the introduction and some of the other phrases here
Where they offer a sliding door on the possible alternative world
So here it is, Matte Kudasai with an alternative guitar introduction
