paroles de chanson Elephant Talk - Commentary (feat. David Singleton) - King Crimson

Elephant talk and circus
The young person's guide to King Crimson live
No King Crimson compilation be truely complete without elephant talk
The opening track of the 1981 album "discipline"
Infact the phrase "elephant talk" has become part of Crimson folklore
It was the name of the first King Crimson fan newsletter
Which started in 1991 and which still continues as a website
In a fun feedback loop, Adrian Balloon himself refers to this in the song "prosac blues" from 2000
With the line "son you've being reading toouch, elephant talk"
This one opens what must be arguably one most recognizable phrases ever played on a chapman stick
Further who is unfamiliar with that instrument
It is the touch guitar who you might now see Tony playing
In discipline, neurotical or level five
Like many Crimsons and pieces
Elephant talk is best captured live
This particular version was recorded at the Mechano sun plaza in Tokyo in 1995
The two shows there were also filmed
With the deja vu DVD
So this may not be the same version that appears on the video
But anyways, here it is
Elephant talk from circus, the young person guide to King Crimson live
