கொள்ளிடம் நீர்மீது நர்த்தனம் ஆடும்
மெல்லிய பூங்காற்று மந்திரம் பாடும்
செங்கனி மேலாடும் மாமரம் யாவும்
ரங்கனின் பேர்சொல்லி சாமரம் வீசும்
அன்னாளில் சோழ மன்னர்கள் ஆக்கி வைத்த நற் ஆலயம்
அம்மாடி என்ன சொல்லுவேன் கோவில் கோபுரம் ஆயிரம்
தேனாக நெஞ்சை அள்ளுமே தெய்வ பூந்தமிழ்ப் பாயிரம்

கன்னடம் தாய் வீடு என்றிருந்தாலும்
கன்னி உன் மறுவீடு தென்னகமாகும்
கங்கையின் மேலான காவிரித் தீர்த்தம்
மங்கல நீராட முன்வினை தீர்க்கும்
நீர்வண்ண எங்கும் மேவிட நஞ்சை புஞ்சைகள் தானடி
ஊர்வண்ணம் என்ன கூறுவேன் தேவ லோகமே தானடி
வெறெங்கு சென்ற போதிலும் இந்த இன்பங்கள் ஏதடி
