Jak zimne ognie gaśnie?
Czemu tak smutno wokół mnie
Choć się spełniają baśnie?
Bóg coraz bardziej roztargniony
Pewnie za dużo ma na głowie
A gdy na wysokościach zamęt
Czy spać spokojnie może człowiek?
Gdy ciemno, budzą się demony
Bezczelnie włażą wszędzie
A że się mnożą bez umiaru
To jeszcze ciemniej będzie
Co z tym rozumem, czemu śpi
Gdy tak potrzebny właśnie?!
Czemu tak głupio wokół mnie
Gdy się spełniają baśnie?
Mój anioł stróż się właśnie zdrzemnął
Ma przerwę w pracy aż do świtu
By jakoś przetrwać noc bezsenną
Czytam: "Nieznośną lekkość bytu"
Nade mną Niebo, wciąż gwiaździste
A we mnie mgła zwątpienia
Gapię się w sufit choć wiem dobrze
To nie najlepszy punkt widzenia

From the Ceiling

There's a spot on the ceiling
Where you can sometimes see the essence of things
Just stare for long enough
When you don't care about anything.
When you understand less and less
About what happens to us in life
As time rips out days and nights
Like... pages from a calendar
What about that hope, why is it still
Like cold flames going out?
Why is it so sad around me
Even though dreams are coming true?
God is more and more absent-minded
Probably has too much on his mind
And when there's chaos at altitude
Can a person sleep soundly?
When it's dark, demons awaken
They brazenly creep everywhere
And because they multiply without limit
It will be even darker
What about that mind, why is it sleeping
When it's so needed right now?!
Why is it so stupid around me
When dreams are coming true?
My guardian angel just dozed off
Has a break from work until dawn
To somehow survive the sleepless night
I'm reading: "The Unbearable Lightness of Being"
Above me, the sky is still starry
And inside me, a fog of doubt
I stare at the ceiling even though I know well
It's not the best point of view
