Était devenu un insomniaque

Son enfer culmina quand il se maria

His hell culminated when he got married, sweet
To a doll, a love so neat
He told her, "You'll see the nights we'll have, my dear,"
They'll last for days and days, I swear
But on his wedding night, when he wanted to fulfill
His husbandly duties, conscientious and still
He realized that contact couldn't be made, you see
There was a two-hour gap between them, just you and me
Furious, he crushed the fatal instrument, my love
Which had separated the lovers, like a dove
