Entonan los pájaros bajo el diáfano celeste de mayo!
¡Qué bello llover de los rayos,
Orvallo de luz contra el cristal del arroyo
Agua que arrulla al silencio con suave murmullo!
Con alas de pétalo se iza la brisa sonrisa del aire
Que lame con su lengua lisa la áspera piel de mi carne
Podría quedarme así toda la tarde tumbado en la tierra
Contemplando el mundo que gira inocente y culpable
Si callo y me concentro encuentro
Que todo lo que está fuera está adentro
¡Qué elástico el pecho, me duele el universo!
Y la conciencia
Virtud que pareció distinguirnos de las demás especies

La conciencia nos vuelve inconscientes

Esta mañana al salir en busca de bayas, grosellas y un poco de leña
Me percaté de una hazaña
Mi asombro fue que en aquel árbol seguía ese nido

Habían pasado otoños e inviernos, lluvias y cierzos
-Cientos de vientos- que se llevaban las hojas consigo
Pero, un año tras otro, como a un monasterio en el aire
Nuevos pájaros acudían a él en busca de abrigo
Hoy, violentos vientos cruzan como una estampida de almas
Sacudiendo el árbol, calvo y famélico, que danza y se dobla
Pero en el centro, engastado en sus ramas
Como un enorme corazón de mimbre, se aferra la hermosa obra
¿Qué genial arquitecto erigió tan perfecta escultura
Que por más que el tiempo intenta desdibujarla perdura y perdura?
Ese mismo tiempo barrió también mi tristeza
Serenó mi pasón y desgajó el rencor, pero no su carga
Pues una bandada de negros
Recuerdos vuelve para desenterrar del olvido
Los huesos roídos de la memoria hasta resucitarla
Y no es otra que la horrible imagen
Del dolor que un día causaste, amor mío
