Spiegelbild Wenn ich mich so im Spiegel seh', dann krieg' ich oft 'nen Schreck.
So siehst du aus, ganz aus der Näh'.
Dann schau ich ganz schnell weg. Dann seh' ich doch noch einmal hinund freund' mich mit mir an.
Seh' ich so aus, wie ich auch bin, ob man das feststell'n kann? Das erste, was mich interessiert, wie alt erschein' ich wirklich? Sieht man meine Jugend nochoder etwa nur bezirklich? Ich fühl' mich älter, als ich bin, ich ging schon viele Wege.
Die Müdigkeit vergißt man schnell, doch nicht die Nackenschläge. Doch, Gott sei dank, sind die noch nichtmir ins Gesicht geschrieben.
Und auch, zum Glück, die Spuren nichtvon den diversen Lieben. Gesicht und Mensch soll Eines sein, so sagt man doch gewöhnlich.
Ich glaub, das trifft bei mir auch zu.
Ich find, ich seh' mir ähnlich. Was denkt nun einer, der mich sieht? Oder besser noch, eine? Verrät mein Blick auch mein Gemüt? Oder schafft er's nicht allein? Nee. Sieht an an meiner Nase schondie ersten Rotweinspuren? Verrät mein Bärtchendie Geduld liebevoller Rasuren? Die Spuren der Vergangenheit, die langdurchliebten Nächte, das interessiert mich jetzt zur Zeit.
Ist, was ich wissen möchte. Und überhaupt die Gegenwart.
Ich sag's ganz unverholen, ich such' und such' und find' sie nicht, des Ruhmes Gloriolen. Ach ja! Doch etwas Gold ist ja zu sehen.
Es glänzt so matt und stille.
Bescheiden, wie's dem Sänger ziemt, der Rahmen meiner Brille. Die langen Haare lieb' ich sehrund acht' auf ihre Reinheit.
Jüngst traf ich meinen Kommandeurvon der ehemaligen Einheit. Der sah erst mich und dann das Haar.

Man ist sich fremd und doch vertraut, man sollte sich das schenken. Doch hat man Mut und schaut sich an, ohne sich zu genieren, beginnt man schon nach kurzer Zeit, ganz schön zu retuschieren. Allmählich irrst du dann heraus, das eigne Bild, das echte.
Man sieht sich nicht mehr, wie man ist, nein so, wie man sich möchte. Die Wahrheit siegt, der Spiegel lügt.

Reflection

Reflection When I look in the mirror, I often get a fright.
That's how you look, up close and personal, dear.
I quickly look away. Then I look again and try to make friends with myself.
Do I look like who I am, can you even tell? The first thing I'm curious about is how old I really appear? Can you still see my youth, or just the wear and tear?
