Who would've guessed that rap would reach this far?
Two decades now, Polish people embrace the mic.
Pioneers drop verses for the younger ones,
And the older heads get honored by American rappers, what a feat!
I've been in this game since the very start,
From basic rhymes with no complex parts.
Those who stayed true, I can count them on one hand,
We've seen some weak imitations, nonsense built on sand.
I remember the good times, freedom of speech was key,
With the fall of communism came a thaw, liberty.
Good music galore, a transplant of vibrant culture,
And without censorship, graffiti paints the Polish structures.
Do you remember who first rapped or danced in your town?
Where you come from, the story runs deep, try to track it down,
Then pay homage to the pioneers, listeners, and black rappers.
