In These Walls

And in these walls I feel impatient
In the air there's a better day
The more I read and hear I doubt it
But there's no point in dwelling that way

And in these walls I feel a hunger
For the life of nature's way
Is this corrupt
Is this feeling
A made-up answer to a made-up way

Hanging out looking for someone to talk to
Always running out of things to say
And I'm not sure if that has to do with me
Guess it don't really matter either way

In the dark now
Sitting with my glowing screen
As the night kisses away the day
Trying to figure what to do with myself
So I hold out for a better day
