A Walk

Wake up before the light to a slow-movin' sky
Thin band of pink light, glowin' horizon line
And the moon is hangin' like a friend
Please sit and watch

Stand up and walk down
Those old, uneven stairs
Pass by the front room
No one is there

Push the door open slowly

Outside in stillness, can you hear the sound?
Across the river, up the hill there's a clearin' I found
And the sky is unfoldin' now

The one with the face
