Day Of Sadness

Adam and Eve now lived in the beauty of the Garden of Eden. From its
Trees, tasty fruit grew. Adam and Eve were permitted to eat all of
The fruit except one kind. God said, "Never eat the fruit from the
Tree of the knowledge of good and evil." A snake came to Eve one day
And said, "Look at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Isn't
Its fruit pretty? It tastes wonderful. It will make you smart. Ignore
What God said. Eat some of the fruit." The fruit looked delicious
So Eve had some to eat. Afterwards she brought it to Adam. He also
Ate some, even though he knew God had said not to eat any of the
Fruit. That night God strolled through the garden. Adam and Eve
Hid. God called out, "Where are you, Adam?" "I'm hiding. I was
Scared," said Adam. "Did you eat the fruit that you were told
Not to eat?" God asked. Adam said, "Eve did it first." Eve said
"The snake said it would be okay." God was unhappy. God told
The snake, "From now on you'll have to crawl on your belly."
He said to Adam and Eve, "You disobeyed me. Now you must leave
The garden." When Adam and Eve left, it was a sad day. An angel
Was sent to the garden by God. He held a flaming sword. The angel
Flashed it to and fro to stop anyone from entering the garden
