The Legend of Mother Swan

In ancient times, my dear,
At the edge of the golden earth,
In a land called "Hovoo",
With pristine wild nature,
In its legless blue lake,
When warm spring arrived,
Water birds from afar
Flew in, honking loudly.
Seeing their grown-up offspring,
The old lake rejoiced with excitement
And they played and celebrated all day long,
Singing and rejoicing all night long.
Much time has passed,
The middle month of summer has gone,
What a wonderful happiness,
Sad farewell waves,
Oh my dear,
One swan, very sad,
Yearned for its mate,
Searching all around,
It found its beloved mate.
In that late-found love,
They frolicked and rejoiced,
Forgetting the world, in love,
They spent many days together.
Singing to their mother about their offspring,
They promised to stay together forever.
Marrying in their native lake,
They said they would live happily ever after.
Seven eggs were born,
And they rejoiced greatly.
Life became beautiful,
Filled with happiness.

The sun of the bright day set,
And its warmth faded away,
The bright white moon dimmed,
Hiding behind the clouds.
The black-eyed lake froze,
The cold became severe.
The water of the springs also froze,
And the whole earth became desolate.
Deciding to embark on a journey,
They gathered their young.
Their feathers not yet grown,
Their children tried hard.
To leave their many young chicks
In the world,
They embraced them under their wings,
Unable to save themselves.
