Ganz laut den Trommelwirbel bis der Sünder hing am Seil.
Erkannt hab ich's erst jetzt, wo ich nun lieg im Sterben:
Mein Trommeln ist ein Fluch, stürzt' alle ins Verderben.
Die Landsknechtstrommel will ich nehmen mit ins Grab.
