Al Matar - Al Wasmi

Al Matar
Al Matar (The Airport)
Oh God, a cloud we can't imagine, raining
Generosity pours down from its blessed clouds.
It lingers for days, its companion clouds gather
Its lightning flashes please, and its thunder echoes close.
Oh, how the barren, deserted lands revive
Its pastures grow green, and its branches flourish.
And it gladdens the hearts of those who are weary,
Rejoicing in the love of rain and the beautiful weather.
With the company of those with authentic character,
Whose destiny is preserved, always noble and never yielding.
Accompany those who don't boast of their kindness,
And in times of hardship, a person's true nature is revealed.
The noble one who doesn't follow every whim,
Keep him by your side, a treasure against the hardships of time.
But the wicked, avoid him and beware of approaching him,
For when the circle closes, it tightens around the necks.
How much happiness lies in the small things,
But some sorrows distract us from them.
Don't grieve over everyone's departure,
Sometimes separation is for your own good.
And sustenance is in the hands of God Almighty, and He guarantees it,
It's not in the hands of so-and-so, and so-and-so, and so-and-so.
Oh Lord, to whom we turn in supplication,
Forgive us our sins, O Exalted One.
