Eu venho d'aonde o cantar das esporas ainda ressona
No embalo do trote, que leva o campeiro pra o seu compromisso,
E o rangido do basto é um sentimento apertando a carona,
Sabendo que a vida, do peão de estância, se alimenta disso.

De lá de onde eu venho, eu trago a certeza que a gente é capaz
De parar o tempo por algum instante e ver de olhos fechados...
Podendo sentir que o campo é um regalo que tão bem nos faz,
Escutando ao longe, murmúrios de sangas e berro de gado.

Eu venho d'aonde o aperto da cincha garante o sustento
De quem alça a perna, firmando nos loros a obrigação
De escorar o tranco, qual um laço forte que em cada tento,
Forceja parelho, unindo suas forças pra aguentá o tirão.

E encerra o dia com o pingo lavado e roda de mate,

I come from where the wind whistles through the manes of colts
