This is one of a heck of an album
26 cuts and we're in the home stretch
We're playing you the final five demo versions of the songs
That Brantley has on the deluxe edition of the album
And you know, I know that we're telling people they're demos
And you know, kind of, explain what that's all about

You know, they're not the cleaned, uh, perfect (studio versions)
Right, right, there's imperfections and, uh
And another thing I'm proud of on this record
Is that they're imperfections on record itself
That makes a record of a record to me (sure)
It's like listening to an old Skynyrd record, like

String slides and things, they take out these days, or most of (yeah)
Those imperfections are very much there
If I got off-key a little bit, from here to there
Then-dress it 'til it's perfect, you know what I mean? (Yeah)
It's human (gave it character), yeah, it's real

Das ist ein verdammt starkes Album.
26 Titel und wir sind auf der Zielgeraden.
Wir spielen euch die letzten fünf Demo-Versionen der Songs vor,
die Brantley auf der Deluxe-Edition des Albums hat.
Und weißt du, ich weiß, dass wir den Leuten sagen, dass es Demos sind,
und, weißt du, irgendwie erklären, worum es dabei geht.

Weißt du, sie sind nicht die sauberen, äh, perfekten (Studioversionen).
Richtig, richtig, es gibt Unvollkommenheiten und, äh,
und eine andere Sache, auf die ich bei dieser Platte stolz bin,
ist, dass es Unvollkommenheiten auf der Platte selbst gibt.
Das macht für mich eine Platte zu einer Platte (sicher).
Es ist, als würde man eine alte Skynyrd-Platte hören, wie...

Saitenrutschen und Dinge, die sie heutzutage herausnehmen, oder die meisten (ja).
Diese Unvollkommenheiten sind sehr deutlich da.
Wenn ich hier und da ein bisschen falsch lag,
dann wird es nicht so lange bearbeitet, bis es perfekt ist, weißt du, was ich meine? (Ja)
Es ist menschlich (gab ihm Charakter), ja, es ist echt.
