One of my favorite albums of 2017. I just can't stop listening
To it, so I want to encourage everybody, if you have not spent
Time with this album, I promise you, stick it in and you're going
To realize all of a sudden that you've probably listened to it
Three or four times before you're like, "Hey, wait, didn't I
Already hear that song?" 'Cause it's just so good and it just keeps
Going. But this next song, good grief, girl, this one is a heart-
Wrencher. I have heard you tell the story a couple of times when
Performing this next song live, so if you could, I would just love
For you to tell the story as you tell it live for "Human Diary."

"Human Diary." It was one of the songs that I didn't write, but that

Makes it just even more special and very interesting because that day

Was just interesting itself. I was actually going in the studio with

Josh Kern and Emily Weisband to record the vocals for my previous

Song, "Worth It." And I was going in there, just not the greatest of

Days, and them being such close friends to me now, I was just talking

To them about life and catching up like friends do and just hanging

Out before we actually got started on everything. And they had wrote

It themselves and they had wrote it one day at home and they had

Tweaked it to piano-vocal and they were like, "We want to show you

How we did this song." And they played it on the huge studio speakers

And I mean, they played this song, and I've never had a song - well

Yeah, I have, but - just a song that I wasn't a part of. I know that

Feeling now, but for something that I didn't write, for it to be so

Well written and the words to just be a real fear of mine, I heard
That and I'm like, "Oh my gosh," and I just, I had tears in my
Eyes and it was real. And they were like, "We want you to cut
It, but we can do, like, another day or whatever." I said, "
You know what? We're not recording 'Worth It' today. We're
Recording this song because I won't sing it like this any other
Day." I'm in an emotional state right now and it will sound
Exactly how it needs to sound. And so it was definitely a really
Cool day and I'm thankful that they wrote it. They're amazingly
Talented to write something like that. It's just an amazing idea

Well, I've got to tell you, I was waiting for somebody to, like

Call me and be like, "Take it off repeat. Stop listening," 'cause

I have obsessed over this song. And a confession: You did an industry

Showcase here in Nashville at William Morris Endeavor and I was

Sitting in the front row 'cause there were no other seats available
And you went from singing "Worth It" to telling the story of this
Song to playing "Human Diary" or performing it live, and it took
Every ounce of everything I had not to just fall apart into a puddle
On the floor right there in front of you. And I'm like, "Keep it
Together, Becca. Keep it together." Because even though I wasn't
Existing in that space at that moment, just anybody who has ever had
A relationship end, you just - the way you sing
It, it's just - I feel like I'm fangirling all
Over you, but it's just such an amazing song
