David Place - Daffodil текст песни

Текст песни Daffodil - David Place

That old tin roof's playing again
The familiar sound of April rain
Been saving on the lights, you see the days are getting long
Still the gas fire burns
The daffodils beside the road
Don't know if to hide or if to grow
The sparrow in the morning is looking for the sun
Still it doesn't come
A flower for the girl
Who wants to leave me
Yellow like a pearl
And rather pretty
She just might change her tune
If she keeps it by the window in the afternoon
They say it won't be long till summer comes
But talking 'bout the weather for too long
Is just a symptom of nothing else to say
Still the gas fire burns
She packed up and left then for the coast
Just like she always wanted most
Could it be that she's as lonely there as me?
Like one daffodil
A flower for the girl
Who wants to leave me
Yellow like a pearl
And rather pretty
She just might change her tune
If she keeps it by the window in the afternoon
A flower for the girl
Who wants to leave me
Yellow like a pearl
And rather pretty
She just might change her tune
If she keeps it by the window in the afternoon
She just might change her tune
If she keeps it by the window in the afternoon
