It's hard to believe when your life keeps on changing
I thought I was healing
I'm hating this pleasing 'cause my cuts are just deepening
I think I'll stop listening until your words start helping

What do I do with the shadow self?

We chase a light that the world conceals

No chains can hold when the spirit rises
Beyond the veils of the worlds' deceit
The light within where our hope reprises
Will guide our steps to a truth complete

What is won if no one can see us
And those who can are the great deceivers?
All that's gained are our false achievements
Who will be there to heal and free us?

Through the cracks in ambitions' mirror
We see the masks that we choose to wear
But freedom dawns in the souls' admission
So reconnect and relearn to care
