Stretch My Arms

I stretch my arms
To a familiar space spreading in front of me
Then I draw and open my hands
In my hands, a tiny fire is flickering
Can you see it? Can you feel it?

I close my eyes
To the shining stars fading away from me
So I stop and change direction
In my life, the burning that begun is holding me

Even in a dying fire, it's comforting enough for me
The space is spreading out so far in front of me
