Текст песни There Once Was a Man - Freddie Aguilar

There once was a man who played violin
He was a gypsy his soul was aching
He played for his supper and beer
But nobody wanted to hear
He said go away you old vagabond
We don't like gypsies so move right along
So he slept on the grass in the park
Till one night someone moved in the dark
It was an old man who played piccolo
His suit it was tattered his spirit so low
He said do you mind if I stay
Since there's no one around let's play
We might as well it's all we can do
The time will go quicker a one and a two
And before long it was dawn
But the gentleman played on and on
What is that sound the townspeople cried
And out of their houses they came mystified
Feeling quite heavy and fine
Laughing and dancing in line
Into the square straining their ears
They said hey we haven't felt so good in years
Please won't you stay we were wrong
