The radio's been silent for four days
As if we were the only ones on this ocean
And then suddenly I receive the same distress signal again
Music coming from our radio, a sonata
A woman's voice, SOS in the form of opera singing
I radio back, asking for coordinates
But apparently, my reply still doesn't reach her.
I've lived on this cargo ship for so long
Listening to her song until night falls, I wonder
What she looks like and what she's lost in this piece
Over the radio, I offer her some of my canned meat
I go on deck, send her an applause
An imaginary bouquet from a sorrowful sailor
Eventually, silence will return to this boat
And only her voice will remain in my head, and she sings

No land in sight and no signal for four days
Engine flooded and supplies running low
A gray anthill on all the screens
And suddenly, the opera comes through the radio again
The frequency indicates an urgent distress call
A point appears on the sonar, approaching
It must be from the ship with the singing woman on it
Engine's dead, I run to the engine room
Ship drifting silently towards the ice floe
When I come back up, I'm blinded by lights
A celebration on the other side, her ship stands there and she sings

The other ship is full of colorful garlands
I climb aboard, following the lights and the singing
I'm saved, I run along the bow after the music
I don't see anyone yet, but I hear them
There's a concert on the ship, her voice getting closer
If I didn't see it clearly, I wouldn't believe it
But I'm standing right now on the lost Lyubov Orlova
I found her, they wanted to scrap her
The towline snapped and she vanished alone
Without a crew, she was lost for years
Only rats on board, now she's back in full splendor
Everything like new, I run to the end of the corridor
