Calm After the Storm

Dwelling in the darkness
Of my empty mind
Feeling the weight of
The pain I hide inside

Where will I find the
Courage to start anew
Letting go of all that's broken
So I can make it through

Loneliness has burdened me
For far too long
Learning how to be at peace
And how to belong

I know that peace awaits us
If we don't go insane
