Galopem i wystarczy sił
Prosto w skłębiony tłum janczarów
Półksiężyc w szponach orlich sczezł
Zielony sztandar porwan w strzępy
Wiktorii oto piękny dzień
Naznaczył chwałą stan rycerski
Za szturmem wciąż przychodził szturm
Fala za falą, jak wahadło
Choć wroga nieprzebrany tłum
"Dziś policzymy Turków szablą"
Twierdzę chocimską spowił dym
Chodkiewicz uniósł swą buławę
To Lisowczykom wskazał cel
Hej! Lisowczycy! Hej! Za sprawę!
Salwa z muszkietów, jeszcze raz
I jeszcze raz! W najeźdźców falę
Na murach twierdzy piętrzą się
By rozbić się niczym o skałę
Półksiężyc w szponach orlich sczezł
Zielony sztandar porwan w strzępy
Wiktorii oto piękny dzień
Naznaczył chwałą stan rycerski
Za szturmem wciąż przychodził szturm

The fortress of Khotyn is shrouded in smoke
Amidst the roar of cannons, the flash of sabers
A banner of blood-red hue fluttered
On which the White Eagle was displayed
It rose above the ramparts, carried them away
Winged horsemen, the sign of hussars
Galloping on and with all their might
Straight into the swirling crowd of janissaries
The crescent moon in the eagle's claws disappeared
The green banner was torn to shreds
A beautiful day of victory
Marked with glory the knightly estate
Storm after storm kept coming
Wave after wave, like a pendulum
Although the enemy's crowd was immense
"Today we will count the Turks with our sabers"
