When I was a kid
I really really loved reading love stories
And seeing that they ended up happily ever after
I always wanted that, that happily ever after
It felt so destined
But I don't think it exists

Don't get me wrong
You can have a happily ever after but
We are finite beings
We don't live forever
And although love is infinite
We are finite and this means that
We can never truly be Happily Ever After
But we can be Happily "even" After

Because You might find the love of your life
You might find the one, and love them wholeheartedly
And they'll love you, throughout
But at the end of the day
One of you will be digging the other's grave
And at that time, at that moment
It'll hurt like hell
But maybe that's not so bad

Maybe love isn't supposed to prevent us from getting hurt
Maybe it's supposed to give us the strength
That even when the hard times come
Even when death looms it's cold shoulder over us
Because we have love
Love makes us infinite

So Love
Wholeheartedly
Without stepping back
Because I assure you
It's worth it
