I was kinda young when this boy started a family
Barely skating by not much food in the pantry
Bologna, ramen noodles, cheese that was satisfactory
Two room shack and that thing was barely standing
Somehow tho we managed cause when food stamps was granted
Balled out in the grocery store steaks and food named branded
She couldn't lie no more, and she not a single mother
Them benefits got cut off we started to struggle
Month longer than my pay, so them bills was sky high (sky high)
Debts piling up to my neck (neck) bow tie (bow tie)
To save some money moved with family now we multi (multi)
I swear them bills was shooting with the heat (pow pow pow brrr) drive by
Took some time and plenty waiting but finally got stable
Not what I wanted but that food was on the table
Glancing at my life and I see that God is able
My prayers have been answered for that I am grateful

The sun hit my face I'm opening up my eyes
Thanking God for my next breath that mean I'm alive
Yawn and stretch as I rise
Feet hit the floor I thank God
Another day has passed another day I survived
Pray and meditate I'm on my way connecting with source
I know that power lies within but I must quiet the noise
Be focused and still with poise, channeling inner joy
I got angels all around me when I pray they deployed
Focus on the day like a receiver set for the route
The visions widescreen so I know its gonna pan out
Prepared and moving around
I'm walking tall with no doubts
Confidence in God plus myself on that I will vouch
I'm off to work for the day, IT career get that pay
This is how I fund the dream put in work every day
Mind renewed mental state
Feeling good, feeling great

Be gracious cause life is so amazing
The fact that I'm still breathing is a cause for celebration

So your body then when you're feeling gratitude

The thoughts equal to the emotional state of gratitude

Gratitude it my attitude when you face a problem with great magnitude
Every enemy that took a stab at you, now poverty and lack grab at you
And your loved ones will even laugh at you
Before a helping hand can come snatch at you
But I find solace in the God of grace, while I study hard Matt 5 and 2 (woah)
I was low mad dog like Cujo
Shelter living like a group home
I was paraplegic, too broke
But promotion came from the true hope
Got my vision cleared like a new scope
Now His blessings got me on overload
Big barbecue I want all the smoke
