Teardrops in My Heart

I look back into the past since we're parted
The last few days seem like a million years
Why was I so long self imparted
A Smile can't find it's way through all these tears.

The whole world seems to know I've been unfaithful
It's all my fault because we had to part
It hurts me so but do they know I'm thankful
That I can say with teardrops in my heart.

I wish that I could spell these tears I'm hiding
Or create a broken pardon on my desk
But there's no trail for sorrow when your flyin'
So I'm paying with teardrops of regret.
