Take off the Mask

I'm lying flat up on my back and I can not stop coughing
Covid all up on the attack and I can't even stop it
Confused all about the facts now and i can't solve it
My nose keeps running down the back of my throat just like a faucet
This junk sucks I jumps] up my head rush
Feeling like I'm gut punched man dude I been crushed
So I'm laying down again but now I'm tensed up
Then I clear the phlegm I give up now I been stuck
5 days quarantined at home it's been rough
The whole families feeling sick man its been tough
My wife's knocked out asleep cuz she has been up
Like all night but all right I'm a go ahead and get up
Pour the coffee read the news man its been nuts
All i hear 20 views and they ain't give up
I don't know who to listen to nobody wants to send love
So I should probably talk to God now since I been up

Feeling trapped up in this space with nowhere to go
Trying to get away but I'm quarantined now at home
No way out this place I got nowhere to roll
It's time for me to take off the mask and let you take control

I'm up at 5am just when i clear the phlegm
Bow and hit my knees speak to God and hear from Him
I know that I am weak but what i seek I can not pretend
He's the reason that I'm breathing I'm seeking all I'm need and then
Its like something went and broke down inside of me
It's like I found a real hope broke down the pride in me
Its like when he spoke I woke now and cried for peace
Now I know the way to go even times when I find I'm weak
Find my peace even though when i try to breathe
All I do is hack and cough every time i try to leave
I find my rest man I'm blessed when I am weak
Man why should I stress the Holy Ghost reside in me
So I'm sitting here like chilled out silently
Finding a quiet peace my hope starts to rise in me
Finally I'm listening now when you try to speak
Then i found the real way for living I am free
