舞い上がる 鳥たちは
影を残して まっすぐ空へとかけてゆく
ベンチの隅で ぼくは

ぼくの影見つめて ひとり 動かない

あふれそうな 悲しみがあるけど
今日は心を 濡らしたくない
陽差しの中で 影が揺れるのは
悲しみが空へ 帰るから
この陽差しの中に もう少しいれば
悲しみが少し 乾くだろう

噴水の水が 背のびをする
光るしぶきを 振り撒いて
年老いた男は 煙草をくわえて
芝生の上から ながめてる

生きてる者の 影は動かない
それは悲しみが 重いからだろう
そんなに重い 影なんか
持ちたくないと ぼくは 動かない
タ暮れが来るまで ここにいよう
ぼくの影が 闇で消えるまで

The soaring birds
Leave their shadows behind as they fly straight into the sky
On the corner of the bench, I

Stare at my shadow, motionless and alone

There is such sorrow that wants to overflow
But today, I do not want my heart to be drenched
In the sunlight, the shadow trembles
As my sadness returns to the sky
If I stay in this sunlight a little longer
My sorrow will begin to dry

The fountain water stretches up high
Scattering sparkling spray
An elderly man smokes a cigarette
Watching from the grass

The shadows of the living do not move
Perhaps because their sadness is heavy
I do not want to carry such heavy shadows
So, I do not move
I will stay here until dusk
Until my shadow disappears into the darkness
