Here I Lie", and it's the oldest song on the, um I wrote that about 3 years ago, um
So when we took it into the studio, um, I was kind of influenced by Vashti Bunyan, um
And so we decided to kind of treat it like that and bring in that kind of medieval recorder sound and everything
Um, and it was really fun actually, it's the first time I've done this but we did a sort of live take
Um, we had Kirsty and Rachael, doing violin and cello, and then two recorder players
Um, and we were in all different rooms mic'd up and we just played it through all together
Um, which is, normally, you know, I go in and it's quite a solo thing, just me and Charlie, and we'll layer it up kind of separately and just keep throwing things at it
But it was quite fun to have the opportunity to do a recording in a more old-fashioned way
