The poor have vanished, the oppressed are ruined, but
To no avail, not a trace of you has been found.

In every particle, with what glory you display yourself,
My mind is bewildered, how are you, what are you?

I haven't found you searching in monasteries and temples,
But when you grace me, I see you in my heart.

You're not found by searching, nor are you anywhere without being sought,
And then this spectacle, wherever I am, there you are.

When no one else exists but you,
Then I don't understand your veiling yourself.

In temples and monasteries, your perfect manifestation is present,
The lamp of both houses, your niche is illuminated.

Whoever is lost in your love, that lost one has found something,
Not in idol temples, nor in Kaaba, but in a broken heart.
Becoming Adam, you've hidden somewhere, somewhere you've arrived, laughing.

If you are not, then how is there denial? Even negation is proof of your being.
Whom I call my existence, if it's not you, then what is it?
If you haven't come to my thoughts, then how did I understand you are God?

I am bewildered by this, who are you, what are you?
If attained, an idol, if unattained, God.

Who gets entangled in intellect, why does he become infinite?
What is understood, then why does it become God?

A philosopher doesn't find God in arguments,

Although you tell everyone your placeless abode,

This worshipping and prohibition, this church and monastery, why? You don't tell, when you're so wasteful.

Making the soul a prisoner of the body's cage, then you've also placed the guard of death on it.

The state of placelessness, you claim it, you've also conveyed the message of the serpent and scorpion.
This evil, that good, this hell, that heaven, tell me, what have you kept in this confusion?
Adam committed the sin, and the punishment is for us, what standard of justice and fairness have you kept?
Giving man your caliphate in the world, you've made a spectacle in time.
For the sake of your recognition, you've created everyone, but you've hidden yourself from everyone's eyes.

You create new patterns and erase them, for what crime of desire do you give punishment?
Sometimes you turn pebbles into diamonds, sometimes you mix diamonds with dust.
You give life to so many dead, that Messiah you crucify.
Whoever desires to see you at Mount Sinai, you burn them with the lightning of manifestation.
You throw them into Nimrod's fire, by the power, not the Creator, then you turn the fire into a garden.

Sometimes you throw them into the whale's belly, sometimes into the fish's mouth, you extinguish the light of Jacob's eyes.
Sometimes you put Joseph in Egypt's markets, eventually you make him the King of Egypt.
Whoever reaches the destination of absorption and ecstasy, sitting in their heart, you give the call of "I am the Truth".
You issue the fatwas of blasphemy against him, you crucify Mansoor yourself.
One day, he loses his own existence, to whom you give the longing for your vision.

If any Ranjha sets out in search of you, you make him cry in the wilderness of Jhang.
If any Qais sets out with the quest for you, you make him Majnun of some Laila.
If your light ignites in Sassi's heart, you burn her in the scorching desert.
If Sohni imagines you as Mahiwal, you drown her in the scattered waves.

This way of division makes me cry blood, I see someone rich here, someone poor.

In the hands of day, only a burning sun, the forehead of night adorned with stars I see.
Somewhere there are withered flowers of truth, and somewhere I see freshness on the thorns of falsehood.
Somewhere I see Shams' skin being flayed, somewhere I see Sarmad's head being severed.

What is night, what is morning, what is this light, what is this darkness?
I am also your representative, after all, why do you say, "What is yours?"
