Life was just a gift. I had to know that mine was priceless
Now, day to day, the more I felt uncertain
About the whole commitment and the reason I was working
See, I felt the effort was a waste and it was pointless
Didn't see the need of going out to show my presence
Didn't know the cause and I was kinda feeling nervous
So I met a couple friends to talk me back into my senses
The more they tried mahn, the more that I was losing
Making my decision, I was sure of quitting music
And my head messed up all sorts like it's Rubik's
Part of me was scared and part felt this was stupid
I always knew writing never was a problem
Eyes closed, writing lines. Yeah I had it flawless
Wordplay, punchline, flows, yeah I got them
But divided from the music is something I couldn't solve
Just another day sitting back and doing nothing
Wretch 32 popped up with something different
FR32 dropped and it was chilling
On my way to school, hearing greatness on my playlist
Suddenly, I think I got my inspiration
Told myself I'm back I had a sense of new creation
Picking up the pen, see this was true determination
So I had to make something big enough to shake a nation
That's why I had to name the album new beginning
I had a clearer mind and better ways of even thinking
And time again it feels like I'm still on my way to quitting
I'm hoping for a change. I hope to see a new beginning
