Orchards - Social Sobriety текст песни

Текст песни Social Sobriety - Orchards

Withdraw your venom, there's message in truth
A self-obsessed complex projected from our youth
Self-entitlement and portraits of our image
Direct us to a newly born reality
Am I braver to admire my own face?
Live inside the danger of a self-portrait?
Or is it wiser and safer to be
Living a life of social sobriety?
Lit up by fluorescent hope
I waiver opinions based on the life of my peers
And wish for something I will never truly own
Surviving in a world
Never truly blown by the wind's breeze or the sun's beauty
But lived a life expectant of yours
Only to be disappointed by the fact
It's all in our imagination, in a world of instant reaction
A façade, a barricade, a stronger foundation
Stronger than a kind word to a stranger
Where's the predetermined path that leads to a happy ending?
Have we found new territory?
I'll react when you react, but not before they react
I will forcefully react to a picture-perfect lifestyle
Much too preoccupied trying to appear perfect
To enjoy the beauty around you
Announcing love for a fad or someone else's creation
When you could create something from your own brain
And reveal your inner magic at the cost of being vulnerable
Too vulnerable to maintain a crisp exterior of fickle intent
Am I braver to admire my own face?
Live inside the danger of a self-portrait?
Or is it wiser and safer to be
Living a life of social sobriety?
That was it
