Una buona commedia,
Un profumo di insidia:
Fa venire appetito
Di quintati di poesie
Tienti forte
Che ormai si sta volando
Non so dirti n dove,
Come o quando,
Pilotando si va
Sulle palme del giorno,
Recitando un ritorno
Sulla pista delle allegrie

E cos si dimentica
E ricorda
Recitando e inventando
E profanando
Com la tua esibizione
Com la mia imitazione
Arredando il silenzie
Di ogni sorta di mercanzia

Reciting

As we recite, we descend
To the very bottom,
Memories undulate
And are desecrated
By a phantom hand
That proposes alliances
Granting distances
Of selfishness and frenzy

But sometimes you climb,
And very high,
To avoid getting hurt,
And it doesn't hurt
A good comedy,
A scent of treachery:
It makes you crave
Quintals of poetry
Hold on tight,
Because now you're flying
I don't know where,
How or when,
Piloting you
On the palms of the day,
Reciting a return
To the runway of joys

And so you forget
And you remember
Reciting and inventing
And desecrating
With your performance
With my imitation
Furnishing the silence
With all sorts of merchandise
