Lord had a cage and so far from his home
Bought by a big store to be sold as a plaything
Someone will surely take you and make you their own

Goodbye bright city, the journey's beginning
Bound for the country and a new place to stay

No longer alone now is Christian the lion
He's part of a pride in a small family
But the trials are not over, they're only beginning
Dangers there are before him in his liberty

Sold as a toy with no life of his own
