In jedem Nichts ist immer noch etwas,
in jeder Blase befindet sich Luft.
In jedem Senfkorn ein Same des Lebens,
in jeder Blüte ein eigener Duft.
Wenn wir es wagen, sind wir die Lösung,
wir bringen etwas, das gerade noch fehlt.
Für manchen Hungernden Stärke und Speisung,
für den Einsamen Freundschaft und Halt.
Der Vorhang geht auf, die Lichter gehen an,
für dieses Spiel braucht jeder nur etwas Elan.
Ich schau nicht nur hin, ich steige mit ein,
wenn ich schon hier bin, will ich auch ein Teil des Ganzen sein.

Ich geb, was ich hab, und ich tue, was ich kann.
Ich geh diesen Schritt und fange noch heute an.
Was andere tun oder lassen, soll mich nicht stören.
Ich will lieber nur auf die leise Stimme hören,
die mir sagt, dass ich ein Segen bin, für andere ein Gewinn.
So geb ich, was ich hab in diesem Sinn.

An manchen Tagen lähmt mich die Frage,
ob die Welt durch mich etwas gewinnt,
ob ich in mir auch das Nötige habe, damit das Ganze am Ende gelingt.
In bin verloren in meiner Berechnung, wenn Vertrauen darin nicht erscheint.

Das, was folgt in der weiteren Entwicklung ist mehr als das, was mein Zweifel oft meint.
Ein Junge mit Brot und auch etwas Fisch –
reicht es für 1000, die hungern, ich glaub es eigentlich nicht.
Und doch fang ich an und geb, was ich kann.
Vielleicht machst du daraus wieder ein Wunder, es wär zu schön!

I Give What I Have

In every nothingness there's always something,
in every bubble there's air inside.
In every mustard seed a seed of life,

I give what I have, and I do what I can.
I take this step and start today, my plan.
What others do or don't do shouldn't bother me.
I'd rather just listen to the quiet voice, you see,
that tells me I'm a blessing, a gain for others, a win.
So I give what I have, in this very sense, my kin.

On some days the question paralyzes me,
if the world gains anything through me,
if I have within me what's necessary, so that in the end it all succeeds, decree.
I'm lost in my calculation if trust doesn't appear within.

What follows in further development is more than what my doubt often implies, my queen.
A boy with bread and some fish too –
is it enough for 1000 who are hungry? I don't really think so, it's true.
And yet I start and give what I can.
Maybe you'll make a miracle out of it again, it would be grand, my fan.
